Project Superintendent I

Accountable to: President, Vice Presidents, Project Manager

Responsible for: Project Schedule & Coordination, Quality Control, and Job Costs

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct field foremen on assigned project tasks and oversee all field employees
  • Manage and direct subcontractor work schedule & performance
  • Procure and purchase all items not covered by office generated purchase orders
  • Complete daily field reports and time cards per company policy
  • Maintain project red line as-builts with relevant sketches, changes, and RFI changes.
  • Maintain and organize all field documentation and project records
  • Help Project Manager develop and maintain project schedules
  • Schedule and administer project meetings
  • Interface with the owner on all project issues
  • Perform project punch-list inspection(s), in coordination with project manager and architect/engineer, and issue punch lists to all relevant subcontractors

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Enforce field compliance with the company Safety Program and other relevant policies
  • Perform ongoing field inspection and stay involved with company TQM/QC Program
  • Perform additional responsibilities as issued by upper management

Position Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of technical training and/or related experience
  • A thorough knowledge of the OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Standards
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, (technology, equipment, methods, etc.)
  • Understanding of efficient construction sequencing and scheduling
  • Competency in computer software used for project administration
  • Strong background in construction processes and administration
  • Excellent organizational, supervisory and decision making/problem solving skills
  • The ability to direct and motivate a team towards a common goal
